Common-Sense, Conservative with Experience

Hello, I am Tricia Byrnes, Pro-labor, Common-Sense, Republican for Missouri State Representative, District 63. I currently serve as Aldermen in the City of Wentzville. Bill Byrnes, my husband of 25 years, and I have three sons 22, 19 and 10. We moved to Wentzville in 2005.

My passion is to improve education, strengthen our economy, maintain fiscal discipline, increase the safety of our roads and highways, support our law enforcement and protect our freedoms and liberties.

I believe I have the experience, skills and relationships within our community to effectively and immediately serve once elected. Most importantly, I have proven to be effective at the local level and have shown that I have the backbone to be successful in Jefferson City.

I have always provided my personal cell phone. Feel free to call me at 314-397-4037. I'm here when you need me.

Wentzville, home of the first Vietnam Memorial, has always supported our Veterans and Active Military. Wentzville hosts veterans from across the country during the annual Run for the Wall.

In 2020, Alderman Tricia Byrnes kicked off the Wentzville Newly Enlisted Recognition Ceremony. The purpose of this event is to support newly enlisted military members and their families before these brave recruits head off to boot camp. Wentzville's program was the first of it's kind and is now being rolled out in municipalities across the country.

We are proud to be Americans. Wentzville is proud of our hometown heroes!

My First Goals in Office

  • Pass The Missouri Childhood Hero Act to replace Zero Tolerance

Zero Tolerance has been in place for decades. It allows school

administration to punish all parties equally.

This has allowed bullies to go unchecked because victims and bystanders

can't stand up to them. If they do, they get equal punishment.

Additionally, teachers must have fight immunity. Which means they are

not exposed to lawsuits or job loss for protecting students.

  • Completion for HWY 70 S Curve, 40/61 Interchange and North Point Entrance to 40/61

Highways and Infrastructure improvements are critical to our safe

enjoyment of our community and the prosperity of our entire region.

  • Encourage the recruitment and retention of Police Officers & Teachers

Nationwide we are starting to see Police Officers and Teachers leaving the

profession. This is creating gaps in service across the nation. Although our

area is still managing, the stress on all involved to retain great people is real.

Town Hall on Public Safety

Missouri Childhood Hero Act

Come to the Town Hall on Public Safety to learn more and help develop better policies for our kids and our community!

I have identified 3 policies that need to change at the state level and then be eliminated in practice across all districts.

The worst is the well intended but disastrous Zero Tolerance Policy. It states that any kid throwing a punch on school property, gets suspended automatically…unfortunately it even applied to self defense.

I have heard principals across St. Charles county that teach middle school kids how to get in the fetal position if they are attacked by their known bully. This policy stripped our children from the right to protect themselves. It taught kids to accept being victimized.

One of the additional disastrous side effects of this policy is….it has also taught/forced kids that are bystanders to be spectators because if they stop an attack and intervene they too get suspended.

My goal is to gather support and write the Missouri Childhood Hero Act. The purpose will be to celebrate not punish those that defend themselves and others.

Please help me get there by asking your friends and neighbors to vote for me Aug. 2!

We need the #childhoodheroact
